Abner is an amazing person and great to work with as a contractor. We did a pretty large remodel in our SF home, which was initially constructed in the 1960s. We tore down walls, went down to the studs in the kitchen and one bathroom, re-did the back deck and switched the orientation of the stairs, replaced 5 doors, closed up one window into a wall... and a lot of electrical/lighting work. Abner was super attentive and worked with us on our design choices and we developed a great deal of trust for him and his team. All-in-all it became a 6-month project, but for our first renovation - it was a lot more tolerable because of his confidence and reliability. People often comment how surprised they are that we did not need a designer for our home -- but it was all because of the collaboration and trust we had with Abner. Would highly recommend Abner and his team any day, and we'll be using them as long as we can for any renovation work!

Abner and his team were truly awesome! We would give 10 stars if we could! We had a small kitchen remodel (to move some cabinets around to accommodate a larger refrigerator). Since it was a small project, most of the people we called turned down the job. We got a few quotes and decided to go with Abner because he seemed honest, reliable, knowledgeable and quoted us a reasonable estimate for 5-7hrs of work at a reasonable rate. He was not only present on the day of the job to supervise but also before and after the project. His team worked on the day after Thanksgiving and was on time, courteous, professional, cleaned up debris afterwards and most importantly, figured out how to remove the cabinets (without damage) when a previous handyman did not succeed. In the end, the estimate was spot on, exactly 5 hours plus some materials. Abner saved us a lot of money (especially since we didn't have to get new cabinets made)!!! We would definitely use ABN Construction Inc. in San Mateo again!!

Abner recently finished a total gut and remodel of our 24 year old kitchen. They did an amazing job, the workers were very nice, on time, respectful and left the job site clean every day. Communication with the owner, Abner was excellent. He physically checked on the job almost daily and quickly resolved any issues that came up. If you need work done, hire this company!
